Want to finally learn how to do your own makeup in a way that actually suits you?
 
My private makeup lessons in Adelaide are completely personalised to your face, features, skin, makeup collection and skill level. Whether you're a complete beginner, feel like you've never really known what you're doing, your makeup no longer seems to work for you, or you simply want to refine your skills and learn professional techniques, this three-hour one-on-one lesson is built entirely around you.
 
This isn't a lesson where you sit and watch me do your makeup. The whole point is for you to learn how to do it yourself, so you can recreate your look confidently long after you've left my studio.
 
How does it work?
I'll demonstrate each technique step-by-step on one side of your face, then you'll recreate it yourself on the other side while I guide you through it.
 
We'll create the look you want to learn, whether that's fresh and natural everyday makeup, polished glam, smoky eyes, colour or something completely tailored to you.
 
You can use a combination of your own makeup and brushes and my professional kit. We'll also go through the products you already own, work out what's worth keeping, what may no longer be working for you, which colours and products suit you and what's actually missing.
 
The goal isn't to send you home with a giant shopping list of products you don't need. It's to help you understand what works for you and why.
 
How long does it take?
Allow approximately 3 hours for your private lesson.
That gives us time to learn and practise your chosen look without rushing, as well as complete your personal makeup kit analysis and create a personalised shopping list based on what you actually need.
 
What do I bring?
Bring the makeup you currently use, particularly the products you'd normally reach for when creating the type of look you'd like to learn.
 
We'll go through your makeup together and identify products that may be out of date, shades that may not be the best match for your complexion and products or colours that could work better for you.
 
Bring your makeup brushes too if you have them. If you don't, that's completely fine,  you'll have access to my professional brushes during your lesson, and most importantly, bring your can-do attitude. There is zero judgement about your makeup bag, your skill level, your age or what you think you "should" already know.
 
You're coming to learn, you're not supposed to know everything before you arrive!
 
What's included in my private makeup lesson?
Your lesson includes 3 hours one-on-one with me, Aleksandra Pinneri, an award-winning professional hair and makeup artist with more than 20 years of experience working with brides, celebrities, musicians, models, television, fashion and everyday clients of all ages.
 
You'll also receive your personal Rock What You've Got makeup manual, where you can write down your individual steps and notes as we work through your look, along with helpful diagrams and information you can refer back to when you're recreating your makeup at home.
 
We'll create your personalised product shopping list based on what you already own and any gaps we've identified, plus you'll receive a VIP 10% discount on products you may wish to purchase directly from me.
 
You'll have refreshments during your lesson in my private Nailsworth studio, and once we've finished your makeup, we'll capture your finished look under my professional lighting with photos and video so you have a visual reference to come back to at home.

This lesson is perfect for complete beginners through to intermediate makeup lovers who want to improve their technique and feel more confident doing their own makeup.
 
You might be starting from scratch, feeling overwhelmed by products and tutorials, wanting to update the way you've done your makeup for years, struggling to know what suits you now, or simply wanting someone to teach you properly rather than trying to piece everything together from TikTok and YouTube.
 
There is no "right" age to learn how to do your makeup. Your lesson starts exactly where you are.
 
When can I book?
Private lessons are generally available Monday to Friday between 9am and 2pm at my Nailsworth studio, subject to availability.
 
School holiday appointments are generally unavailable.

How much does it cost?
Your three-hour private makeup lesson is $350 AUD, including your personalised lesson, makeup kit analysis, Rock What You've Got manual, individual product recommendations and shopping list and video of your finished look and refreshments.
 
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Absolutely. A private makeup lesson makes a beautiful gift for a birthday, milestone, Mother's Day, teenager beginning their makeup journey, or someone who would simply love to feel more confident doing their own makeup.
